Depends on the skill and build. Even the same skill can sometimes (but rarely) fit better into a different slot.

Almost always in 3 or 4, since those are my reflex keys, and are bound to the side buttons on my mouse.

depends. i use weird keys for skills (aqertcvb) so generally not cvb (6,7,8).

r (4) is usually an important faster casting skill (spirit bond, shield of deflect, magebane, power block)

basically:

a - 5e faster cast (RoF, Patient)
q - 5e longer cast (Guardian...SoA)
w - 5e powerful (SoA, WoH)
r - 10-15e faster cast powerful (SB, PS, infuse, other)
t - utility (RC...draw, GoLE, Aegis)
c - utility/defense (faster recharge) (Holy Veil, stance)
v - utility/defense (Aura of Stab., HB...stance)
b - rez/cast'n'forget (channeling, GoLE)

Depends on the bar, certain elites I put in certain places based on the skill bar I'm playing.

Everybody has their own system. Mine (I've heard) is kinda wierd.

From Left to Right
1) utility
2) attunement or cast and forget or utility or cancel stance
3) heal
4) interupt or utility
5) spamable damage spell/attack or interupt
6) spamable damage spell/attack
7) spamable damage spell/attack or IAS
8) res

elite goes where ever it is needed

1234 is my "spam" skill then 5 will be eilte, 678 will be my pve skills or long lasting skills ( dwarfen master , preperation )

But if my elite skills is spam skills then its at 1.

i usually put my Elite skill on all my chars where ever it fits in the chain of skills makes things easier

Well since I play on my laptop, I have my elite as skill 4 with my left hand on skills 1,2,3,4, that way my pointer finger is always on my elite. I play as a Ranger and will have a stance skill in slot 1, useful attack skills in 2,3,5 and then skills that are not used as repeatedly in slot 6,7 unfortunately my hand skills in using slot 8 is very limited, so I almost never use that skill. One day I will get a desktop or a numeric extension for my laptop, so I can effectively use all the skills, lol.

I organize bars by function. More freqnetly used skills tend towards lower numbers, more important reactive skills likewise. Interrupts always on 2-3, bull's always on 4, reactive prots (guardian, warding) always on 5 (Q). Then its just a matter of where the elite's function places it.

Depends on the build I'm using. Usually my elite is either on 1, 2, or 3, but for certain builds I place it in 6 or 7.

For me it depends entirely on the build. I treat an elite like any other skill. I place it where it makes sense in however I have ordered the bar.

Hmm.. Depends on What Class I am playing...

Paragon - Usually 6 or 7, unless it is a chant thingy, Then it is usually 3..
Necro - Almost always 1. And since I normally use SS... I.. Umm.. put it first.
Ranger - Bow Attack - Slot 1.. Anything else, Generally 6 or 7.
Rit - Generally around the middle of the bar.. Unless I am using my Rit as an MM (lol), Then slot 1.

I generally am just playing these classes right now..

hm, usually someplace in the middle ...3 4 or 5...my ele never has it in slot one--thats attunement, I think hers is slot 5 or 6 ....right now my skill capping monk has his in slot 8 and the cap in slot 7 (and the res has been left to the heroes), my ss slot 4, ranger 4, mo/r slot 3....so yeah someplace in the middle (and yes usually slot 8 is a rez of somekind for most of my characters, though some have been capping or such and just arent carrying one).
